Attack of the Mud Monster!
You know how it is in parched California? We get all our yearly rainfall in about 4 hours. Everybody hunkers down and tries to avoid the deluge. Horses in the barn, chickens in their coops, dogs in the house, cats in the shed and humans in front of computers.
Here’s something about keeping horses; wherever they trod, not a single thing grows but dirt. So the mud when it rains is astounding! Makes me imagine a relentless creature, come to muck my life up…
